Ah, matey - That depends!
At present moment, this option is available only to customers who have opted for Free Nekojam+ Delivery. Pet parents whose orders have qualified for Free Nekojam+ Delivery are able to opt to have their orders left at the door.
How do I indicate that I'd like my order to be left?
At checkout, there is the option for you to choose if you'd like to have your order left at your door, should you not be available to receive it.
If this option is selected at checkout, it will reflect on the physical printed copy of your order's delivery note, which is provided to our deliverymen prior to them doing their rounds. It allows them to leave your purchase unattended, without obtaining a signature. The action of doing so is referred to as an "Authority to Leave".
What does an Authority to Leave (ATL) mean for me?
An ATL equates to a transfer of responsibility for the goods from Nekojam and its drivers to you or your authorised party. We're afraid we cannot be held responsible for missing items after the responsibility has been transferred.
Selecting this option also provides our drivers with permission to leave your order at the door automatically, so you may not receive a phone call at the point of delivery if this is chosen. Once an ATL is provided, the driver in charge will proceed with the delivery drop, signifying completion of the delivery. A photograph of your order at the drop-off point will be sent to you!
Please note that for security reasons, we are strictly unable to:
- Leave orders unattended if an ATL is not provided
- Accommodate requests for ATL if your order contains frozen food items
- Process requests for refunds, exchanges or replacements for defective or missing items after responsibility of the order has been transferred
Why can't I opt to have my order left at the door if I've opted for Free Courier Delivery?
It is our appointed courier company's delivery protocol not to allow their contracted dispatch drivers to leave orders unattended. A recipient must be present to personally receive the package at the point of delivery. This ensures that parcels are accepted in good condition and that items do not get stolen or damaged.
